These courses are intended for those who want to have a professional approach to cabinet making or for those who want to deepen their knowledge and are mainly focused on practice. During the course you will not only learn new techcniques but also build pieces that will form part of your portfolio.
In all the long term courses is included a  24 hours course of computer asisted design to learn how to use the software Rhino 5.0 , one of the best programs for furniture designing. A course like this one has a commercial cost of around Euro 1500, but in this case it is for free when you take any of the long term courses.
During the course you will also have the possibility of 3D printing your project before start to make it. In this way you can easily study shapes and proportions.
Three months course:
Designed for those who want to have a professional introduction into the world of cabinet making . The main topics covered are: the workbench, hand tools , how to use them properly and how to sharpen , advanced sharpening , advanced joinery, gluing, finishing , bending wood , inlay, carving , use of power tools , wood dyeing and bleaching, wood abrasives . Knowledge and correct use of the solid wood and of different types of composite panels , wood movement and exchange of moisture, proper wood drying. During this course medium level pieces will be created.

6 months course:
The topics are the same covered in the  three months course but they will be extended and deepened. During this course you will build one or more pieces of medium/advanced  level .

One year course:

It is a course designed for those who want an introduction into the world of professional cabinet making. The topics covered are the same as in the three months course plus: Advanced wood bending and rolling, use and maintenance of stationary machines and advanced use power tools, furniture design by hand and  using Google Sketchup, templates for construction and for steam bending, western and japanese joinery, making furniture without glue or screws, vacuum bending and building your own hand tools. Visits to exhibitions and trade fairs. In this course advanced you have the chance to build an medium/advanced level pieces and one advance level piece.

You will also learn the technical and legislative requirements to start your own workshop.  


Dimisco offers an alternative to the one year course, the nine months course.  Here you will learn the same topics as in the one year course, the difference is that you have less time to practice. This course is intended for those who want to learn the same as in the one year course but don't have the time to spend a full year.
